Good afternoon everyone!

I am new to the forum, but so excited to be here!!!!!!!!!!!! My name is Lori and I have been on Social Security benefits (SSDI) for over 5 years. I know how frustrating it can be trying to live off our monthly disability check. It is nearly impossible with rising costs of food, gas, and medical care.

I wanted to address a free program that is in place for qualified SSDI or SSI recipients, that allows them to return to work and 'try' working, all the while, not losing their monthly benefits check; I am one of those in this program.

SSDI = SOCIAL SECURITY DISABILITY INSURANCE
SSI = SUPPLEMENTAL INSURANCE

There are so many misconceptions all over the internet about working while being disabled. I want to address those.

I am both a recipient of SSDI and also part of the free federally funded program that has helped me to work while receiving benefits.

You can supplement your income (to a certain amount each month) without losing your benefits! You can even try working for a certain period of time and make as much money as you want and your benefits check WILL NOT stop.

This program is so wonderful and it is free to those of us on SSDI or SSI.
The program is called Ticket to Work;

I am participating in this program. I have worked off and on from home for 2 years now, while still receiving my SSDI check and supplementing my income!

Program Specifics:
Ticket to Work Program is free and ONLY for SSDI or SSI recipients.
[list][*] A SSDI or SSI beneficiary should have received a Ticket To Work after benefits began.
  • The program is free and federally funded to help the disabled find work and maintain it;
There are agencies called 'Employment Networks' that assist the disabled in finding suitable employment and understanding how the work will affect their benefits.

If you are currently receiving an SSDI or SSI benefits check or know someone who is, please utilize this free service! It is a free call and free to you!! It has changed my life !! and I want to tell everyone I know about it!!

I know how scary and intimidating it is being disabled and even thinking about taking the step to work again.

If you do not feeling comfortable calling the toll free # to Employment Options below, Please call me first and I will be more than happy to explain my situation and answer any questions you may have.
